Roosevelt Lands aka RoHarpo the Bluesman is a self-taught harmonica player and singer with big time stage appeal and presence.
Roharpo or Ro for short, born in New Orleans and raised in Baton Rouge Louisiana, raised in a family of gospel and blues musicians and singers. At a young age he began to learn how the down home blues sound gets you deep in your soul and bring people together to feel good. It would be much later that he picks up the Harmonica.
Ro is a celebration of music and life. He will make you feel inspired and move you with the energy vibes of his energy and music.
Influenced by great blues musicians he has created his own style, Blues greats like Slim Harpo, a master harmonica player, Muddy Waters one of the most influential blues musicians of all time and Junior Wells who replaced Little Walter on harmonica for Muddy Waters.
With his roots firmly set in old southern blues music, Roharpo has acquired his own unique style of soulful singing, high energy harmonica playing and inspiring showmanship. He has been entertaining and pleasing audiences wherever he performs.
2015 has been Roharpo's year , winning The West Coast Blues Challenge , performing in the Hayward Russell Blues Festival and the Oakland Art & Soul Festival. He will be competing in Memphis 2016 after winning The Golden Gate Blues Society International Blues Band Challenge.
Roharpo the Bluesman and his band The Real Blues Band went to Memphis for the 32nd International Blues Challenge , we didnt win but made it to the Semi-Finals . It was a great experience and a chance to meet Artist from all over the world..... Livin' the Dream , Still moving forward.

Roharpo the Bluesman had a very good 2015 , Winning the West Coast Blues Challenge, then winning the GGBS International Blues Challenge , something that has never been done . Then off to Memphis to compete in the 2016 International Blues Challenge , was very good times over 200 bands from all over the world , We made it to the Semi-Finals, so was very Good... 2016 starting off good Nominated for the Best Blues Male and Best Blues Band in The 2016 Northern California Entertainers Music Awards.
