Roosevelt Lands affectionately known as “RO” to friends and close associates, Ro is known also as “RoHarpo the Bluesman for his soulful sound and unique harmonica playing.

Born in New Orleans and raised in Baton Rouge Louisiana ,a young age he began to learn how the down home blues sound gets you deep in your soul and bring people together to feel the spiritualness  that comes from the blues…

RoHarpo is a celebration of music and life, he will make you feel inspired and move you with every vibe of his blues music and awaken you deep in your Soul ……

Being a self-taught harmonica player, not picking up a harmonica until later in his years . RoHarpo worked hard to get where he feels good about the creativeness of being a harmonica player. He was influenced by great blues musicians like; Junior Wells , Sonny Boy Williams ,Little Walter and James Cotton who also played with Muddy Waters, These players helped him create his own style of playing the harmonica, Its strong in sound and entertaining. With his roots firmly set in the old southern blues music and his soulful singing….

In 2015 Roharpo has been in two competitions, where he won; The West Coast Blues challenge, performing in the Hayward Russell Festival & the Oakland Art & Soul Festival. Winning the Golden Gate Blues Society International Blues Challenge, he now will be competing in Memphis 2016 in the International Blues Challenge.

It’s just the start with this man is trying to do, but one thing he knows is that Blues is his business & His business is Blues…..
